H.A.T.S Theatre Group will be performing their latest production, Don’t dress for dinner, a comedy farce, written by Marc Camoletti, on Tuesday March 17th, Thursday March 19th, Friday March 20th and Saturday March 21st at St Hugh of Lincoln Parish Hall on Glastonbury Road in Stretford.

Don’t dress for dinner is about a married couple called Bernard and Jacqueline. Bernard, thinking that Jacqueline will be at her mother’s for the weekend, invites his mistress to stay. He also invites his closest friend Robert to stay as an alibi if needed. When Jacqueline takes a telephone call from a catering agency that Bernard has booked finds out that Robert is coming, she makes an excuse that her mother has the flu so that she can see Robert. Bernard then has to re think and tries to persuade Robert that his mistress is with Robert. When Robert arrives, it turns out that he is having an affair with Jacqueline. They attempt to keep it from Bernard. There is a bit of a confusion when Suzette arrives from the catering agency and Robert thinks she is Bernard’s mistress and then Suzanne the real mistress turns up after Robert says Suzette is his girlfriend and Suzanne gets mistaken for the mistress. Then that’s when the real confusion starts.

Tickets for Don’t Dress for Dinner are priced at £7 and £6 for concessions and are available by emailing tickets@hatstheatre.org.uk or by telephoning 0161 748 5040
